Jeff and Myra, Evan was so wise beyond his years. I am sure the message under his picture stating to pay attention to the miracle in each day was truly his belief. I do know its true..Evan helped me through some hard times with his wisdom and I truly believe we all witnessed the Holy Spirit thru Evan on his last days. He truly is the miracle of those days..May God embrace you and shelter you with his love.

cherish the signs

I so remember that place that you are. The passage is so true... grief is strong and overwhelming but we do survive.

Cherish the signs that you see. As you probably know, having experienced some of this before, the signs will always be there but they will be fewer and further between as the years go on. Sometimes, I miss them but, then Julie pops right back up and gives me a smile.

Over the 4th, I listened as my Mom was re-telling the stories that I told her from Evan's last days, the last dance, etc. I watched as she touched others with Evan's story. We can't forget what he has taught us all about cherishing every moment and what he taught our community about support for kids and families like yours.

Myra & Jeff, we were so glad to hear you were taking a break from the emotional roller coaster you have been experiencing for such a long time. We know you still had many such moments while on your trip but it was a blessing that you could do something to help ease the pain, even though your hearts, thoughts and prayers were still with Evan. He was such a great kid and one you can be so very proud of. Our thoughts and prayers have been with you throughout this long journey. Hoping for better days ahead!
