Evan's doing well after two rounds of chemo. He's not eating much because I think he's afraid he might get sick. But that hasn't happened so far, thankfully.
They usually start the chemo around 6 p.m. every night, so I'm guessing we won't actually get to go home until sometime on Tuesday. We'll all be more than ready by then.
In case you haven't seen them. we added about six new pictures to the photo slideshow on the Home page. Just click on "Home" and you can see them. (They are loaded to always be at the start.)
Your wonderful messages and continued prayers are much appreciated.

Evan's counts were still on the low side this morning, but just high enough for chemotherapy. Yeah.
We had to wait quite a while to get a hospital room today because all the rooms on the 5th floor were full. It's sad there are that many sick kids up here.
We'll be here through Monday. Hoping and praying for little to no side effects.
We'll keep you posted.

“It was just a drill.” That was Evan’s response today when he found his counts were too low to be admitted to the hospital for Chemo. We went in early. He got accessed. They drew his blood and started fluids. An hour later his labs came back and his counts are actually lower now than they were on Friday. Bummer.
No GCSF shots this week, though. You can only do so much of that before it becomes harmful rather than helpful. We’ll go back in on Thursday and repeat the ‘drill’.
We’re all disappointed (even Evan) because we want to stay on track – to rid Evan’s body of cancer, to cure him – sooner rather than later.
Prayers to St. Peregrine (Patron Saint of Cancer) for Evan’s counts to come back up to an acceptable range. Grant that we receive this favor for which we now ask through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.
