Evan was admitted to the hospital with a fever this a.m. He had his counts checked yesterday and they were all low and expected to continue to drop. He was still feeling half way decent yesterday, just no appetite.
He woke up with a fever this morning and achy all over, so they wanted to go ahead and start an IV antibiotic just to make sure nothing more develops. He knows the drill so well, he fell fast asleep the minute we got him into the bed.
We'll keep you posted.

I’ve had several people tell me in the past couple of days, “I know when you don’t post an update that means everything is okay, but we sure like our updates.” So, I took that as a hint!
Overall, Evan had a pretty good week and weekend. He doesn’t have much of an appetite, so it’s all we can do to keep him eating. These are the times I’m thankful for the g-tube, so we can still manage to get some nutrition into his little body.
Today is a week since his last chemo treatment and he’s beginning to feel rundown. I’m guessing his counts are just now starting to drop. Hoping he doesn’t become neutropenic this round. We’ll be “in clinic” today checking his counts.
Evan is experiencing some mixed emotions as of late. Although he’s happy to be nearly finished with his treatments he’s also been asking a lot of “what ifs” lately. “What if my tumor isn’t gone...what if I still have cancer...what if the cancer is gone but comes back.” All normal questions, but still hard to hear your child ask them.
Please continue to pray for Evan that the chemo has rid his body of the Rhabdo beast. And, that God’s healing grace will help to ease Evan’s mind and give him strength through the final leg of this journey.
P.S. A big shout out to our friend, Chloe M., thank you so much for the very special effort you made on Evan’s behalf -- you made us cry just thinking about it.

They had us out of the hospital in record time today. Evan is now home and resting comfortably. Praying for no side effects!
Thank you for all your wonderful messages. You'll never know how much they mean to the whole family.
